Facebook Ads seem to be a hot topic between the people who truly believe that they work and the people who truly believe that they do not. If you’re in the camp of believing that they don’t work, I can tell you that it’s probably because you’re impatient and your plan is all wrong. Here are 3 reasons that your Facebook ads aren’t working:
1)You don’t understand that it’s a process
There are levels and steps to this, it’s not an overnight money maker. What would your success rate be if you walked up to a business owner and started pitching them without introducing yourself and asking questions about their business? Probably not very good. Remember KLT: Know, Like and Trust. People buy when they know, like and trust you. And you still have to earn that via your Facebook ads. Give something of value before you even ask for an appointment or sale and then create the next step in your process.
2)You don’t put time into creating a game plan
Most people regard Facebook as “the greatest targeting tool ever created”. And that’s why you need to create a game plan and hone in on who exactly your target customers are and where they’re located. If you’re just doing the basics, you will get basic results.
3)You don’t run them long enough to make a real impact
A lot of business owners are afraid of spending money on Facebook ads because of their lack of understanding. They’re afraid they are throwing away valuable dollars, which is understandable. However, you need to commit a budget to running your Facebook ads for at least 90 days. Again, this is a long game play. At the very least you’ll allow Facebook to collect a ton of data which will allow you to retarget to potential customers down the road.
